Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work site environment: Dusty. Work setting: Repair. Tasks: Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems. Confirm findings with supervisor to determine whether to repair or replace unit. Discuss work with supervisor. Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of truck-trailer systems. Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications. Advise customers on work performed and future repair requirements. Complete reports to record problems and work performed. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Work under pressure. Handling heavy loads. Physically demanding. Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots. Personal suitability: Flexibility.
