Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work setting: Home care and visiting care agency. Rural area. Nursing home/home for the aged. Group home. Tasks: Accompany patients on outdoor recreational activities. Assist with cleaning, sterilizing, setting up and assembling of medical equipment. Perform other duties related to patient care and comfort. Perform other duties related to personal care. Supply and empty bed pans. Weigh, lift, turn and position patients. Deliver messages, reports, requisitions and specimens between departments. Make beds and maintain patients' rooms. Supervise patients' exercise routines. Administer suppositories, colonic irrigations and enemas. Bathe, dress and groom patients. Transport patients between care facilities. Transport patients in wheelchair or stretcher. Answer call signals to determine patients' needs. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certificate. First Aid Certificate. CPR Certificate.
