About this role
Education: College/CEGEP. Work setting: Plastic products manufacturers. Tasks: Supervise, co-ordinate and schedule activities of production workers who operate processing machines and who fabricate, assemble, finish or inspect plastic or rubber parts and products. Establish methods to meet work schedules and co-ordinate work activities with other work units. Recommend personnel actions such as hiring and promotions. Prepare production and other reports. Recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality. Train staff/workers in job duties, safety procedures and company policies. Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies. Transport raw materials, finished products and scrap materials through the plant. Start-up and shut-down systems. Perform ongoing machine adjustments. Ensure that safety standards and departmental policies are met. Conduct safety training programs. Co-ordinate activities with warehouse and production units. Monitor production and troubleshoot production problems. Investigate complaints. Identify customers' needs . Supervision: 5-10 people. Computer and technology knowledge: MS Excel. MS Outlook.
