About this role
*Job Description*
* Take food and drink orders from customers accurately and with a positive attitude. * Make suggestions based on their preferences. * Write patrons' food orders on order slips, memorize orders, or enter orders into computers for transmittal to kitchen staff. * Engage with customers in a friendly manner. * Knowledge of the menu, with the ability to make suggestions. * Ensure tables are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems. * Polishing cutlery and glasses and setting tables. * Tidying and cleaning the dining area after closing time and cashing up * Collect payments from tables. * Prepare checks that itemize and total meal costs and sales taxes. * Help food preparation staff when necessary. Cooperate and communicate with all serving and kitchen staff. * Arrange table settings. * Asks for customer feedback. * Adhere to all relevant health department rules/regulations and all customer service guidelines.
*Food Server skills and qualifications*
* Strong memory to accurately recall menu items and their ingredients
* Polite and professional attitude towards customers and team members
* Excellent verbal communication abilities to engage in conversation and friendly rapport with customers
* Ability to quickly and logically solve problems that might arise
* Physical stamina for extended periods in a fast-paced environment
* Flexibility to work varying shift schedules, including weekends, nights, and holidays
* Effective attention to detail to ensure customer orders are correct
* Attention to cleanliness and safety
* Responsible and trustworthy
* High school diploma is a plus but not required
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: Up to $17.60 per hour
