The post is for 5 sessions per week, with salary dependent upon experience.

Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will:
Provide high-quality, comprehensive primary medical services to the practice population.
Undertake face-to-face, telephone and online consultations as appropriate.
Assess, diagnose and manage patients presenting with acute and chronic medical conditions.
Prescribe safely and effectively in accordance with local and national guidelines.
Maintain accurate and contemporaneous patient records using SystmOne.
Work collaboratively with the wider multidisciplinary team to deliver integrated patient care.
Participate in the management of patients with long-term conditions.
Contribute to safeguarding responsibilities for children and vulnerable adults.
Support quality improvement initiatives, clinical governance and practice development activities.
Attend practice meetings and educational events as required.
Maintain compliance with GMC standards and professional requirements.
About us About Our Practice
We are a well-established PMS GP practice located in the leafy suburb of St Margarets, Twickenham, serving a practice population of approximately 13,000 patients.
Our multidisciplinary team consists of 3 GP Partners, 7 Salaried GPs, a Practice Nurse, 3 Healthcare Assistants, 3 GP Assistants, and an experienced reception and administrative team. Our ARRS Staff consist of:- Physician Assistant, Physiotherapists, Social Prescriber and Care Co-ordinator. As a training practice, we are committed to developing the future GP workforce and regularly support GP Registrars who hold their own supervised clinics.

Job SummaryThe post holder will provide high-quality, patient-centred primary care services to the registered patients of St Margarets Medical Practice. The Salaried GP will work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, effective and evidence-based care, whilst contributing to the ongoing development of the practice and achievement of NHS contractual requirements.
Main Duties and ResponsibilitiesClinical Responsibilities
Provide general medical services to the registered practice population.
Undertake face-to-face, telephone and online consultations.
Assess, diagnose, treat and manage patients presenting with acute and chronic illnesses.
Prescribe medications appropriately and safely in accordance with national and local guidelines.
Refer patients to secondary care and community services as appropriate.
Manage patients with long-term conditions in collaboration with the wider clinical team.
Undertake home visits when clinically necessary.
Maintain accurate, contemporaneous and complete patient records using SystmOne.
Interpret and act upon laboratory results, correspondence and clinical reports.
Ensure continuity of care where appropriate.
Multidisciplinary Working
Work closely with the practice nursing team and healthcare assistants.
Collaborate with the ARRS team including Clinical Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technician, Physician Associate, Care Co-ordinator, First Contact Physiotherapists and Social Prescriber.
Participate in multidisciplinary meetings where appropriate.
Support integrated working with community and secondary care services.
Clinical Governance and Quality
Participate in clinical governance activities.
Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and service development.
Support achievement of QOF and other contractual requirements.
Participate in significant event reviews and learning activities.
Maintain compliance with GMC standards and professional requirements.
Assist in the implementation of practice policies and procedures.
Training and Education
Participate in educational meetings and continuing professional development.
Support the educational activities of the practice as a GP Training Practice where appropriate.
Contribute to the teaching and supervision of GP Registrars and other learners if suitably experienced.
Safeguarding
Adhere to safeguarding policies and procedures.
Participate in safeguarding activities relating to children and vulnerable adults.
Maintain appropriate safeguarding training.
Administrative Responsibilities
Process clinical correspondence, pathology results and other documentation in a timely manner.
Complete medical reports and forms as required.
Maintain accurate clinical coding and documentation.
Participate in practice meetings and organisational activities.
Professional Responsibilities
Maintain full GMC registration and licence to practise.
Undertake annual appraisal and revalidation requirements.
Maintain mandatory training requirements.
Work within the principles of Good Medical Practice.
Working Pattern
Part-time.
5 sessions per week.

Experience Essential
Essential Experience of working in UK General Practice. Experience in managing a broad range of acute and chronic medical conditions. Understanding of evidence-based medicine and clinical governance. Experience of working within a multidisciplinary team.
Desirable
Experience in teaching and training. Involvement in quality improvement projects. Experience using SystmOne.

Qualifications Essential
