This post will be working Monday to Sunday on a rota basis.

In this varied and hands-on role, you will carry out a broad range of essential duties that support the smooth running of our hospital and community healthcare environments. This role is both varied and practical, requiring you to undertake a a range of duties including cleaning, catering, Portering, and general housekeeping. You will be expected to respond flexibly to operational needs, adapting quickly to new areas or tasks as required. Every aspect of the role contributes to maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for patients, staff, and visitors.Training and Support
Comprehensive training will be provided to ensure you are fully prepared to carry out all responsibilities effectively and in line with our standards.
Main duties of the job
MAIN DUTIES OF JOB Cleaning Duties: Carry out a wide range of cleaning tasks across wards, patient rooms, kitchens, outpatient and clinical areas, toilets, and communal spaces, ensuring all environments are safe, hygienic, and welcoming.
Portering Support: Assist with Portering tasks, including the safe movement of equipment, linen, supplies, and patient belongings. This also includes the collection and removal of clinical and domestic waste in line with Trust procedures.
Catering Support: Contribute to the delivery of catering services by assisting with basic meal preparation, meal delivery to wards, and completing required food safety and temperature checks.
Hygiene & Compliance: Maintain high standards of cleanliness and infection control in accordance with the National Cleaning Standards and Trust policies, ensuring all work meets regulatory, safety, and audit requirements.
