Major DutiesYou will work on a variety of facility level electrical systems including main panels, circuit breakers, outlets, switches and lighting.You will troubleshoot and repair electrical systems as well as assist and support the operation of emergency generators, natural gas and propane gas system components.You will assist Journeyman level tradesmen in the maintenance and repair of emergency back-up generators to include refueling, oil and fluid changes, logging run time hours, facility connection and transfer switches.You will be required to locate existing utilities, dig trenches, clear brush and vegetation using hand and power tools.You will perform emergency and routine repair work to structures, real property, utility systems, and dynamic equipment, requiring multi-trade job skills in the structural, mechanical, and electrical trades.You will perform work, including carpentry, paint, masonry, glass, plumbing/pipe fitting, industrial equipment repair, and heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) work, as well as electrical repair and installation.You will interpret and apply building plans, blueprints, wiring diagrams, engineering drawings, and maintenance and repair manuals to determine material, tools, and equipment needed for the project and how or what repairs need to be completed.You will determine when structures, parts, and/or components need to be repaired, adjusted, or cleaned.
