Job summary
An exciting opportunities has arisen to work with children with complex medical needs and their families as Nurse Specialist. This post is in collaboration with Roald Dahl Marvellous Children's Charity and East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust.
You will link Children and families across a multidisciplinary pathway ensuring a high standard of care and compassion is provided.
You will assist children with complex medical needs to access all aspects of care and support, whilst promoting the ethos of both the Roald Dahl Marvellous Children's Charity and ESNEFT.
This post is Maternity Cover until 31st May 2027
Main duties of the job
The post holder is responsible for the assessment of care needs and the development, implementation and evaluation of evidence based programmes of care for Children and Young People who have a range of complex health needs due to chronic disease, trauma, or who have life limiting or life threatening conditions.
Provide clear and effective leadership and co-ordination of the patient pathway for children with medical complexity (CMC).
Work with minimal supervision to develop and deliver the specialist service based on principles that are evidence based and which enhance the quality of patient care.
Ensure a high-quality service meeting the individual needs of the child and their family.
Lead the co-ordination of holistic and seamless clinical care for CMC, who are often known to several specialty teams.

Proven post registration experience in children's nursing Proven clinical, organisational and managerial skills Experience working within a multidisciplinary team Patient co-ordination experience

Qualifications Essential
NMC Child Registered Nurse (RN Child / RSCN) First Degree in relevant subject or equivalent qualification / experience Teaching / Mentorship Qualification or willingness to undertake. Evidence of continued professional development and training.
