Job summary Package Description This role has responsibility for the CQC-registered Brook Street Learning Disability respite service and is based within Bexley. The Registered Manager will have overall operational oversight of the service and will directly line manage the staff team. The postholder will report to the London Learning Disability Locality Manager and will work closely with them to ensure the delivery of a safe, effective, and high-quality service. Driving Quality & Compliance Overseeing CQC registration and ensuring the Brook Street service meets all regulatory and statutory requirements, maintaining safe, effective, and well-led services at all times. Leading & Developing Teams Providing day-to-day leadership to the staff team, ensuring effective management, clear direction, and ongoing support to maintain high standards of care and support delivery. Ensuring Accountability Managing safeguarding concerns, incidents, and complaints, while working closely with the Locality Manager to drive continuous improvement and ensure ongoing compliance across the service.

Demonstrable experience of working within a respite service, ideally within the Learning Disability sector. Proven leadership and management experience with the ability to effectively oversee a service and staff team. Excellent communication, organisational, and decision-making skills. A flexible approach to working hours to meet the needs of the service. Person Specification

Qualifications Essential

Previous experience as a Registered Manager is highly desirable. Experience in working within a respite service, particularly in the Learning Disability sector, is needed. Familiarity with the adult social care sector, relevant regulatory frameworks, including CQC requirements, is expected. Proven leadership and management experience, as well as excellent communication and decision-making skills, are required. A flexible approach to working hours is necessary.
