Job SummaryYou will serve as a Component Induction Technician in the Industrial Execution Department of FLTREADCEN EAST.
QualificationsYour resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Knowledge of the production organization to include induction and storage systems and methods required to complete the induction process 2) Ability to conduct research to determine identification of parts and components and to ensure appropriate packaging and storage requirements 3) Knowledge of the production cycles to determine the status of work in process and provide input and assistance back to the Planners 4) Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing with personnel supporting the production effort to obtain their cooperation and assistance in the coordination and induction of products into the production process 5) Knowledge of the various documents associated with the induction, storage and return or products to DLA or to the customer 6) Knowledge with the use of a variety of detailed guidelines in the form of induction and product return data, e.g., schematics for screening and induction standard operating procedures, and induction status reports 7) Knowledge and experience with selecting and applying the necessary guidelines to provide effective induction scheduling of components and parts in the production system. Making only minor deviations in guidelines applicable to specific work situations that arise. If significant deviations are required, the incumbent obtains guidance from the supervisor or the team leader. Major DutiesYou will unpack and identify parts/components and verify against the master work order.You will process special program components based on individual customer and special handling requirements.You will complete the required documents for shipping and ensure the product is packages and containerized properly.Inducts Navy and special proms (USA, USAF, USCG FMS) components and pats from Defense Logistics Agency.Ensures appropriate storage and containers for protection of components/parts.
