Job SummaryYou will serve as the Senior Advisor Warfighting Capability Engineering located within the Naval Air Systems Command, Engineering and Cyber Warfare Group with a duty location of Patuxent River, Maryland. You will provide strategic leadership and technical guidance across mission areas, advising on capability development, system integration, and requirements to deliver advanced, mission-aligned warfighting solutions in support of Naval Aviation.

TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS (TQs): Your resume should demonstrate accomplishments that would satisfy the technical qualifications: TQ 1. Executive Technical Leadership and Mission Impact: Nationally/internationally recognized expert with extensive experience in system-of-systems engineering, battlespace networks, mission architectures, and targeting systems. Demonstrated ability to provide strategic technical leadership on extraordinarily complex developmental efforts, rapidly delivering innovative solutions that close critical warfighter capability gaps and improve overall naval mission effectiveness. 2. Innovation, Communication, and Cross-Enterprise Influence: Proven record of creative problem-solving, correcting deficiencies, evaluating alternatives, and developing viable, cost-effective approaches to addressing mission capability shortfalls. Exceptional ability to communicate complex technical concepts at the highest levels, build and lead multidisciplinary teams, and achieve distinguished professional recognition through publications, patents, honors, and prestigious awards. Major DutiesYou will serve as Senior Advisor for Engineering and Cyber Warfare, guiding strategic planning, capability development, and future requirements across mission areas.You will represent the command at NAVAIR, DON, and DoD levels, participating in senior boards and study teams shaping policy, strategy, and technical direction.You will lead and integrate multidisciplinary teams to develop and execute enterprise-wide research and engineering strategies delivering advanced warfighter capabilities.You will direct command-wide studies and mission assessments to identify capability gaps and implement material and non-material solutionsYou advise development of mission-level architectures, modeling, simulation, and analysis to support acquisition, integration, and sustainment.You will ensure system design aligns with mission-level capabilities through collaboration with program leadership and chief engineers.You will serve as senior liaison to DoD, industry, and federal partners, advancing innovative solutions to maintain warfighting superiority.
