GS-08: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing training and instruction of law enforcement equipment usage and application techniques, and law enforcement procedures while performing law enforcement duties; responding to emergency calls, complaints and other calls for service during the watch; enforcing traffic laws and issuing traffic citations; subduing and disarming those who are doing violence to other persons; administering first aid; gathering and analyzing facts; seizing and protecting evidence; taking witness statements; advising violators rights; conducting investigative stops; conducting preliminary investigations. GS-07: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing knowledge of a body of basic laws and regulations, law enforcement operations, practices, and techniques and involved the responsibility for maintaining order and protecting life and property. Instructing new police officers in their specific tasks, providing written instructions, reference materials and supplies to assist in the instructions given; monitoring their progress and making recommendations; providing advice and guidance on the enforcement of laws, rules and regulations. Major DutiesYou will instruct new police officers on tasks and techniques, provide written instructions, reference materials and supplies needed to complete instructions.You will provide on-the-job training to new police officers in accordance with FTO program and establish procedures and practices; monitor trainee progress and make recommendations; ensure trainees perform work according to department guidelines.You will monitor activities in the field and provide technical guidance, assistance and instruction to new police officers; provide guidance on the enforcement of laws, rules and regulations.You will review Incident Reports for accuracy, annotate discrepancies and/or areas of concern.You will ensure trainees receive training and are current on qualifications, ensure trainees are in compliance with command policies, and ensure trainees receive all information regarding new regulations, instructions and policies.You will respond to emergency calls, complaints and other calls for service during watch; respond to and conduct preliminary investigations relating to incidents aboard installations.You will research, conduct interviews and execute investigative techniques to resolve a wide range of criminal activities.You will perform traffic law control and enforcement; direct movement of vehicles/pedestrians and observe and report traffic safety hazards.
