EOS Software Engineer Position Summary Rodan Energy is seeking a technically versatile Senior Software Engineer to build and evolve industry-leading Energy Optimization Solutions (EOS) and help shape the future of software, data, automation, and AI across the organization.
This is a hands-on engineering and technical leadership role for a builder who enjoys solving difficult problems, modernizing architecture, launching new capabilities, and translating energy-market opportunities into reliable, scalable products.
You will influence technology strategy and engineering standards, mentor developers, and work across disciplines to deliver solutions that optimize energy assets, enable market participation, improve grid reliability, and support the energy transition.

Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, review, test, deploy, and support backend services, APIs, integrations, and data-processing workflows. Own the technical health, reliability, scalability, maintainability, and code quality of EOS platforms, and lead root-cause analysis for complex production issues. Shape the technical direction of EOS and related software, data, automation, and AI capabilities by defining engineering standards, evaluating emerging technologies, evolving architecture, and translating strategic opportunities into pragmatic delivery roadmaps. Develop and support SQL Server and MySQL databases, including schema changes, migrations, upgrades, and performance troubleshooting.
Own and improve CI/CD pipelines, Azure hosting and deployment models, automated testing, observability, and monitoring. Lead technical workstreams: translate business requirements into solution designs, break initiatives into deliverable work packages, and manage risks and dependencies. Provide technical oversight and coordination for internal developers, contractors, consultants, and external vendors.
