Managing 1,400+ MW of flexible capacity across Ontario, NYISO, PJM, MISO, and AESO, we make sustainable attainable.  Why Join Rodan  Be Part of the Energy Transition  Join a fast-growing organization at the forefront of grid modernization and DER innovation, supporting mission critical infrastructure across North America.  Work on Real World, High Impact Systems  This role supports - Ignition-based SCADA platform that directly enables grid reliability, DER operations, and market participation across IESO, AESO, NYISO, and PJM markets.  Collaborative, Technical Culture  You’ll work alongside experienced engineers, operators, and technologists in a team environment that values technical excellence, reliability, and continuous improvement.  What Makes This Role Great  Hands On Technical Impact  Be a core technical contributor developing, enhancing, and supporting Ignition‑based SCADA systems that directly support Rodan’s growing DER portfolio.  Enable Scale and Stability  Own key SCADA delivery work that improves turnaround times, reduces operational risk, and enables faster site onboarding and stronger system stability as our platform scales.  Exposure to Complex, Evolving Markets  Gain exposure to complex DER deployments and emerging North American electricity markets, playing a key role in strengthening Rodan’s SCADA capability as we expand.  A True Specialist Role  This is a dedicated SCADA‑Ignition specialist position, offering ownership, depth, and meaningful collaboration with experienced engineers and architects.    Key Responsibilities  Design, configure, develop, and maintain SCADA systems using Inductive Automation Ignition  Support new DER and client projects, including site onboarding, configuration, and commissioning support  Execute AVEVA to Ignition migrations, upgrades, and system enhancements  Develop and maintain SCADA screens, dashboards, redundancy, and UI components  Provide operational support and troubleshooting for SCADA‑Ignition related requests and tickets  Perform Ignition upgrades, patching, testing, and QA  Collaborate with DER Systems, Engineering, and Operations teams to support delivery and reliability  Contribute to documentation, standards, templates, and continuous improvement of SCADA practices  Participate in a tiered support and on‑call model as the team scales  What Success Looks Like  Successful delivery of Ignition migrations and new site onboarding  Timely and reliable completion of SCADA enhancements and operational requests  Improved system resiliency and reduced single point of failure risk  Measurable reduction in reliance on senior DER engineers for tactical SCADA work  Faster project delivery and more sustainable operational support model   Required Skills & Qualifications  ~ 2-3+ years of hands-on experience working in SCADA environments  Ignition certification (preferred)  Strong experience with Inductive Automation Ignition (HMI development, configuration, scripting and support)  Experience with SCADA migrations, upgrades, or system enhancements  Working knowledge of Python and/or Jython   Familiarity with SCAD
