Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking an experienced, innovative and motivated Senior Project Nurse - Workforce to join the Children's Nursing Education Team. This is a unique opportunity to lead and influence workforce transformation projects across Children's Services, supporting the delivery of safe, effective and sustainable staffing models for the future.
Working closely with the Lead Nurse, Head of Nursing, clinical teams and operational leaders, the post holder will lead workforce development initiatives that support recruitment, retention, education and workforce planning across the Children's Hospital. This role is ideal for an experienced children's nurse leader with strong project management, workforce and change management experience who is passionate about improving staff experience and developing the future workforce.

What you will bring to the role The Senior Project Nurse - Workforce will lead and support a range of workforce transformation projects across the Children's Directorate. Key priorities of the role include:
- Leading workforce development and workforce transformation initiatives across Children's Services
- Supporting recruitment and retention strategies for Registered Nurses, Non-Registered Staff and Learners
- Developing innovative approaches to attract talent into Paediatric Services across the region
- Coordinating and leading recruitment and engagement events promoting opportunities within the Children's Hospital
- Reviewing scope of practice and workforce models to ensure the right people are in the right place with the right skills
- Supporting clinical teams with job planning, role development and job description review
- Providing oversight of establishment, vacancy management and workforce budget monitoring
- Leading projects focussed on sickness reduction and staff wellbeing improvement
- Supporting and overseeing preceptorship engagement and workforce support programmes
- Leading audit oversight of stay interviews and exit interviews, ensuring themes are analysed and translated into meaningful action plans
- Developing clear communication and engagement plans to support workforce change and service improvement
- Working collaboratively with nursing, AHP, medical and operational colleagues across the Trust and wider region
- Supporting the development of workforce-related policies, procedures and quality improvement initiatives
The post holder will also contribute to wider corporate nursing and workforce projects and provide expert advice relating to workforce planning, education and transformation
