Job summary Job Summary This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated nurse to join the Breast Care Nursing Team Macmillan-adopted at St Jamess Hospital.

We are a friendly, professional, and supportive team who take pride in delivering high-quality care. The successful candidate will support patients diagnosed with primary and metastatic breast cancer, providing holistic care and acting as a key member of the multidisciplinary team.

You will work collaboratively within the breast care team and alongside a range of professionals and services. Excellent communication skills are essential, with the ability to build strong relationships with patients, families, and colleagues.

You will receive comprehensive in-house training and support, with the opportunity to develop and manage your own caseload over time. A willingness to learn, respond to feedback, and undertake further training is essential.

2. There is great depth and breadth to this role, so a willingness to undergo training and respond well to constructive criticism is needed, demonstrating commitment to your own personal and professional development and to the development of others within the team.

4. You will need to have commitment to the speciality area, valuing the contribution of all team members and encouraging a positive and creative working environment.

5. Once trained, you will need to be able to work autonomously but collaboratively with patients, colleagues and outside organisations/charities as needed.
