Experience of programme or project management within healthcare Knowledge of NHS safety initiatives and regulatory requirements Excellent analytical, organisational, and communication skills The ability to influence, engage, and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams A commitment to improving outcomes and experiences for women, babies, and families A clinical background (e.g. midwifery, nursing, or AHP) is desirable but not essential.

Main duties of the job The primary purpose of this key role is to support the successful delivery of the CSUs Improvement Programme, including Maternity Incentive Scheme and Saving Babies Lives.

The role will provide management with respect to the delivery of work streams that compromise the CSU improvement programme, and the development and implementation of new schemes to deliver efficiencies and improvement. Accountable and reporting to the Governance and Quality Lead the post holder will be required to work closely with, and in support of, the Trusts Executive Directors, Trust Improvement Programme Team, Clinical Support Unit (CSU) senior leadership team and other CSU staff to ensure the maintenance of a robust programme management framework, which ensures that programme activities are well co-ordinated, closely monitored and accurately reported.

The Programme Manager will provide a pivotal role in helping embed a culture of continuous improvement within the operational functions of the CSU, embedding the function of the role to become an integral part of the CSUss management and assurance framework.

Job Summary We are seeking two dynamic and experienced professionals to join our maternity services team as a Programme Lead. These pivotal Band 7 roles will lead the coordination, implementation and monitoring of key maternity programmes including the NHS England Maternity Incentive Scheme, and Saving Babies Lives schemes, both of which support the delivery of safe, high-quality, and equitable maternity care.

You will work collaboratively with clinical and operational leads to ensure all maternity programmes are achieved and evidenced, driving continuous improvement across maternity services.

Degree in relevant discipline or relevant work experience

Project / Programme Management Qualification at Foundation level or similar (MSP / Prince 2)

Significant experience of successfully operating in a politically sensitive environment.

Experience of working within NHS with/in organisations who face financial recovery
