Requirements
- Proven track record leading PMO functions in complex, multi-workstream environments
- Deep expertise in traditional PMO disciplines, including RAID management, reporting, quality controls, and milestone tracking
- Strong interest in coaching, training, and upskilling teams to strengthen PMO capability
- Excellent executive reporting skills, including the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable management information
- Adaptable and comfortable managing ambiguity in a fast-paced environment
- Outstanding communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills
Responsibilities
- Establish, refine, and embed PMO governance standards, controls, and assurance mechanisms across active workstreams
- Own the program reporting cadence and produce management information, dashboards, and progress reports for executive stakeholders
- Maintain RAID management and challenge project leads to identify, monitor, and mitigate risks and dependencies
- Mentor, train, and upskill PMO resources, project managers, and workstream leads in governance standards, tools, and best practices
- Oversee change control processes, quality gates, and milestone tracking
- Build relationships with workstream leads, project managers, and senior stakeholders to support communication and alignment with business objectives
- Adapt to changing project needs and provide hands-on operational delivery support when required

We are seeking a Lead PMO Specialist for a six-month contract supporting a complex, multi-workstream transformation program. This is a traditional PMO leadership role focused on governance, structured reporting, and control frameworks, with an emphasis on mentoring and developing team members. The role is hybrid, with onsite work as required, inside IR35, and offers a daily rate of £475–£575 depending on experience.
