Salary: £50,000 - 70,000 per year
Requirements
- Experience in a DevOps or Cloud Engineering role.
- Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, ideally AWS.
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker and infrastructure automation.
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools and Infrastructure as Code, such as Jenkins, GitLab and Terraform.
- Understanding of secure infrastructure, monitoring and high-availability environments.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Defence or Government project experience is highly desirable but not essential.
- Must be eligible for SC clearance and be a sole British national.
- Must meet the relevant UK residency requirements for clearance.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement and maintain cloud infrastructure using AWS.
- Deploy and manage Kubernetes clusters using technologies such as Docker and Helm.
- Build and improve CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
- Implement infrastructure monitoring, security and compliance measures.
- Optimise infrastructure for performance, scalability, availability and cost.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure and application issues.
- Support and mentor junior members of the DevOps team where required.

This is an opportunity to join a collaborative engineering team working on complex projects across the UK Defence and Government sectors. The role is based in Hereford, with a hybrid arrangement requiring 2–3 days onsite per week. Salary is £50,000–£70,000 per annum, depending on experience.
