1st Shift Prepress Operator

Key Responsibilities

• Review and preflight customer files for print readiness.
• Assemble, edit, and optimize files for production.
• Perform color correction and color matching to meet print specifications.
• Generate PDF proofs, contract proofs, imposed proofs, and mock-ups.
• Create and output printing plates for production runs.
• Maintain G7 color management standards and quality requirements.
• Prepare die files and coordinate with finishing departments.
• Troubleshoot file, artwork, and workflow issues.
• Communicate with customers regarding file requirements and best practices.
• Collaborate with production teams to ensure jobs are completed accurately and efficiently.
• Stay current on printing technologies, software, and workflow improvements.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of prepress experience in a printing environment.
• Strong proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Acrobat).
• Experience with preflighting, file preparation, imposition, proofing, and plate making.
• Knowledge of color management and color correction techniques.
• Experience with Fuji and/or Metrix workflow systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to lift 30+ pounds.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Plymouth, MN.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $66560.00 - $79040.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Strong benefits plan, 401K + 3% match, family owned company. Health, dental, and vision included as well
