Requirements
- Proven experience in a Level 3 EUC, Desktop Engineering, Workplace Technology, or Application Support role
- Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and root cause analysis skills
- Experience supporting Windows-based enterprise applications and endpoint platforms
- Experience working on large-scale IT transformation, migration, or deployment programmes
- Experience with application packaging and deployment processes
- Strong understanding of ITIL-based support environments
- Experience in complex enterprise organisations with multiple stakeholders
- Ability to manage competing priorities in fast-paced project delivery environments
- Excellent planning, coordination, and communication skills
- Desirable experience with Microsoft Windows 10 and 11, Active Directory, SCCM / Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager, Citrix and VDI, application packaging, endpoint management technologies, kiosk mode and secure device configurations, Microsoft 365, Group Policy, and software deployment and release management
- Desirable experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, life sciences, or other regulated industries, including exposure to GMP, GxP, or validated environments
- Desirable experience supporting device refresh, Windows 11 migration, or large-scale workplace transformation programmes
- Familiarity with application validation and compliance-driven change controls
- ITIL Foundation certification is desirable
Responsibilities
- Provide Level 3 support for enterprise endpoint devices and applications across a complex IT environment
- Act as the senior technical escalation point for application and EUC-related incidents
- Design and implement technical solutions across the end-user computing landscape
- Troubleshoot and resolve advanced application and endpoint issues
- Support application readiness activities for device migration and workplace transformation projects
- Investigate and remediate application compatibility issues across Windows environments
- Coordinate application testing, validation, and user acceptance activities
- Support software deployment, packaging, release management, and rollout activities
- Work with EUC, Infrastructure, Networking, Security, and Project teams to resolve cross-functional technical challenges
- Analyse logs, performance metrics, and system behaviour to perform root cause analysis
- Support incident, problem, change, and release management processes in line with ITIL standards
- Maintain technical documentation, support procedures, and knowledge base articles
- Assist with application lifecycle management, upgrades, patching, and decommissioning
- Support migration cutovers and deployment scheduling
- Collaborate with third-party vendors and application owners to support successful onboarding and service delivery
- Ensure enterprise applications comply with organisational security and operational standards

We are recruiting a 3rd Line EUC Support Engineer for a six-month role with a very likely extension, based onsite in Billingham five days a week. The role supports a large-scale enterprise transformation and device migration programme in a highly regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. It is a hands-on technical position focused on keeping business-critical applications, endpoint technologies, and workplace services stable, secure, and operational during migration and deployment activities.
