Job summary
Position- Ambulance Liaison Officer
Location- Cumbria and Lancs Area.
Type - Permanent
We are looking to recruit a highly motivated and flexible individual to the role of Ambulance Liaison Officer based within the Cumbria and Lancs area of NWAS.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be required to Attend Acute Trusts across the area as required, this role involves the effective and efficient management of the handover process from ambulance resources to Acute Trust. The post holders will ideally have supervisory experience. You must possess good communication skills and have the ability to influence decisions within the Acute Trust setting.

North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust provides 24 hour, 365 days a year accident and emergency services to those in need of emergency medical treatment and transport.
Our highly skilled staff provide life-saving care to patients in the community and take people to hospital or a place of care if needed.We also provide non-emergency patient transport services for those patients who require non-emergency transport to and from hospital and who are unable to travel unaided because of their medical condition or clinical need.
Alongside the other emergency services, we also work to ensure the safety of the public and treatment of patients in the event of a major incident.
We also deliver the NHS 111 service in the North West. NHS 111 replaced NHS Direct in 2013. This service was introduced to make it easier for people to access local NHS healthcare services in England. It provides non-emergency medical help fast, and is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Qualifications Essential
IHCD Qualified Paramedic
Knowledge/Experience Essential
Thorough and practical understanding of Service policies and procedures especially divert/deflection guidance.
Specific Skills and Abilities Essential
Have the ability to influence and negotiate with others Effective interpersonal skills including written, verbal and listening. Have the ability to motivate and lead others Time management, decision making and organizational skills Hold a valid EU Driving License with C1 category, (No more than 3 endorsement points. In exceptional circumstances a maximum of 6 points may be considered) Possession of IT Skills
