What you will bring to the role
This is an excellent opportunity to develop and gain more skills within a supportive team. We are looking for an an empathethic and compassionate individual, who has the ability to respect, value and affirm people regardless of their religion or belief, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation or state of health or current needs. They will also be committed to working across faith and belief systems and demonstrate a willingness to pastorally care for people beyond personal faith or belief boundary You will also have previous Chaplaincy Experience; Approximately 1600 hours of professionally supervised practice as a designated chaplain or pastoral care practitioner. You will also be registered or be eligible to be registered by the Council of Professional Chaplains and Pastoral Carers. . You will eligible to be authorised by appropriate faith or belief group to practice as a Healthcare Chaplain, with a bachelors degree (or equivalent work or life experience) in a area related to the profession. If you have significant experience in pastoral, spiritual and religious/non-religious care in a healthcare setting; excellent interpersonal skills; the ability to work with and value diversity, proven track record of collaboration and empowerment we would love to hear from you. Person Specification
Qualifications Essential
Eligible to be authorised by appropriate faith or belief group to practice as a Healthcare Chaplain.
Educated to Honours degree level.
Experience Essential
Previous Chaplaincy Experience.
To be registered or eligible to be registered by the UKBHC, with postgraduate specialist Healthcare Chaplaincy qualification.
Broad knowledge of faith and belief systems to be able to work in a multi-cultural/multi-faith and belief context
