Accountant
Location: Harrogate, North Yorkshire Salary: £30,000 - £45,000 per annum (depending on experience and qualifications)

The Opportunity
We are recruiting for an ambitious Accountant to join our client's growing accountancy practice in the heart of Harrogate.
This opportunity would suit someone with experience working within an accountancy practice who is looking to broaden their exposure across accounts, tax and audit while progressing their career within a supportive firm.

The Role
Preparing and reviewing VAT returnsProducing monthly and quarterly management accountsPreparing statutory accounts for a diverse client portfolioSupporting personal and corporation tax compliance workAssisting with and leading audit assignmentsLiaising directly with clients and building strong working relationshipsHandling day-to-day client queries and providing professional adviceLiaising with HMRC on behalf of clientsSupporting and mentoring junior team members where appropriateMaintaining accurate accounting records and reconciliations
About You
Experience working within an accountancy practice environmentStudying towards, finalist or qualified ACCA, ACA, ICAEW or equivalentStrong knowledge of accounts preparation and compliance workExposure to tax and/or audit work would be advantageousExcellent communication and organisational skillsA proactive approach and commitment to professional developmentLooking to build a long-term career within professional practice
