Unity Resourcing are delighted to be recruiting for an experienced Financial Controller / Finance Manager to join a successful and growing organisation based in Knaresborough.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified finance professional to take ownership of an established finance function while playing a key role in supporting future growth. Reporting into senior leadership, you'll be responsible for financial reporting, controls, budgeting, forecasting and delivering valuable commercial insight to support strategic decision-making.
Working closely with stakeholders across the business, you'll ensure accurate financial reporting, maintain robust controls, drive continuous improvement and develop a small finance team. This role would suit a hands-on individual who enjoys balancing the detail of day-to-day finance with a broader commercial perspective.
Key Responsibilities
Managing the day-to-day finance functionProducing monthly management accounts and financial reportingBudgeting, forecasting and cashflow managementMaintaining strong financial controls and reconciliationsSupporting year-end accounts, audits and statutory reportingDeveloping KPI reporting and management informationIdentifying process improvements and automation opportunitiesMentoring and supporting junior finance team membersPartnering with senior stakeholders to support business performance and growth
About You
ACCA or CIMA or equivalent qualifiedPrevious experience in a Financial Controller, Finance Manager or similar roleStrong management accounting, budgeting and forecasting experienceExcellent financial control and reconciliation skillsAdvanced Excel and accounting systems knowledgeExperience leading, mentoring or developing team membersAble to communicate financial information clearly to both finance and non-finance stakeholders If you're looking for a role where you can make a genuine impact, take ownership and help shape the future of a growing business, we'd love to hear from you.
