Location: Chester Job Type: Permanent, Full Time Salary: Up to £32,000 per annum
The Opportunity
We're working with a well-established and friendly accountancy practice in Chester that is looking to add an experienced Bookkeeper to its growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has previously worked within an accountancy practice and enjoys building strong relationships with a varied client portfolio. You'll play a key role in supporting businesses with their bookkeeping requirements whilst also taking ownership of CIS administration and submissions.

The Role
As Bookkeeper, you'll be responsible for:
Managing bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients across a range of sectorsProcessing sales and purchase invoicesBank reconciliationsPreparing and submitting VAT returnsMaintaining accurate financial recordsManaging Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) administration and submissionsAssisting with month-end and year-end processesLiaising directly with clients to provide bookkeeping support and adviceSupporting accountants with the preparation of management accounts where requiredWorking with cloud-based accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks and Sage About You
