My industry leading client, located of Gorsey Lane in Widnes, are currently looking to recruit a Warehouse & Assembly Operative on an ongoing temporary basis. It would be desirable, not essential if the successful candidate has an in-date Counterbalance FLT Licence.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a successful business the role involves working with long-length aluminium and steel profiles, fabricated metal components, framework systems, and finished products. Candidates must be comfortable handling large, awkward items safely and carefully to maintain product quality. As part of a small warehouse team currently consisting of three, reliability, attendance and a positive attitude are essential.
Hours: Monday – Friday, 08:00 – 17:00 (40 hours per week)
Salary: £28,080 / £13.50 per hour - (If you have an in-date Counterbalance licence the Salary will be £31,200 / £15 per hour)
Responsibilities:
Moving stock, components, and finished products throughout the warehouse.Offloading inbound deliveries and checking goods in.Picking and packing customer orders ready for dispatch.Loading and unloading shipping containers.Loading containers and products onto flatbed vehicles and trucks.Assisting with the handling of long-length profiles, framework systems, and fabricated components.Supporting light assembly, preparation and packaging activities where required.Using a tablet-based goods in/out system (training provided).Maintaining accurate stock movements and warehouse records.Keeping the warehouse clean, organised, and safe at all times Specification:
Previous warehouse, logistics or manufacturing experience.Excellent level of spoken and written English.Comfortable using electronic tablets. Able to work safely with long, bulky, and high-value products.Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated.
