A well-established South Yorkshire law firm is looking to appoint an experienced Family Solicitor or Family Partner to lead and develop its matrimonial offering from its Barnsley office.
This is a senior opportunity with a strong focus on matrimonial finance and financial remedy work, alongside the opportunity to develop the wider family department and take an active role in its continued growth.
The Role
You will have responsibility for a varied family law caseload, with a particular focus on matrimonial finance, including:
Complex and high value financial remedy mattersDivorce and separationCohabitation mattersPre and post nuptial agreementsPrivate children matters where requiredAdvising privately funded clientsDeveloping relationships with existing and new clientsBuilding relationships with professional contacts and referrersSupporting and mentoring junior members of the team There is genuine scope to help shape the future direction of the family department, with a high degree of autonomy and the opportunity to take on a leadership role.
About You
The firm is looking for an experienced Family Solicitor with a strong background in matrimonial finance.
You should have:
Significant experience in financial remedy and matrimonial finance workExperience managing your own caseload and client relationshipsStrong technical knowledge and commercial awarenessA confident and personable approach with clientsAn interest in business development and growing a client baseThe ambition to take on a leadership role within a growing family team Applications are welcomed from experienced Senior Associates, Legal Directors and existing Family Partners who are looking for their next move.
