Axon Moore are delighted to be partnering with a well-established, nationally operating business based near to Wetherby to appoint their Finance Director.
The business offers a range of B2B products and services across multiple sites and has a fast-paced, entrepreneurial culture. They are seeking a financial leader who can strike a balance between offering strategic support and maintaining a ‘hands on’ presence in the business.
The role:
The successful candidate will be a key member of the senior leadership team, responsible for financial strategy, control, reporting and performance: Act as a commercial partner to the MD and leadership team, shaping pricing, investment cases and growth plansIdentify and build new revenue opportunities, and put the business cases behind themTake ownership of stock and inventory controlSeek out ways to improve margin and productivityDeliver accurate, timely management accounts, forecasts and budgets, and lead statutory accounts, audit and tax complianceManage cash flow, funding, and capital planningPrepare board packs and meet the reporting and governance requirements of corporate shareholdersBuild strong relationships with the board, major customers, suppliers, operational teams, lenders and advisers Candidate Requirements: Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with senior finance experience in a business of c. £30m–£100m turnoverA proven record in inventory management, working capital and cost controlEntrepreneurial, commercially curious and happy to roll your sleeves upConfident working with boards and shareholders, and equally comfortable spending time with operational teams across all facets of the businessExperience of leading small teams and improving systems and processes If you feel you have the required skills and experience to take on this role, please apply ASAP.
