Credit Controller – Property | Leeds City Centre | £30,000 + Bonus
Are you an experienced Credit Controller looking for a new opportunity within an established property business?
We are recruiting for a Credit Controller to join a busy finance team based in Leeds City Centre, offering the opportunity to take ownership of a varied portfolio of accounts.
The Role You will be responsible for managing outstanding debt, building strong relationships with customers and internal teams, and ensuring payments are collected in line with agreed terms.
Key responsibilities will include: Managing your own portfolio of customer accountsProactively chasing outstanding debt by telephone and emailMonitoring aged debt and reducing overdue balancesInvestigating and resolving payment queries and disputesBuilding positive relationships with customers and internal stakeholdersAllocating payments and maintaining accurate account recordsProducing aged debt reports and providing updates on collection activityWorking closely with the wider finance and property teams to resolve issues We are looking for someone with previous Credit Control or Sales Ledger experience who is confident managing their own workload and communicating with customers. You'll need to be: Confident and professional when dealing with customersComfortable having conversations around overdue paymentsOrganised with strong attention to detailProactive and able to manage a busy ledgerA good communicator with a professional approachConfident using Excel and finance systems Previous property or tenant debt experience would be advantageous, but isn't essential.
