We're working with a growing law firm in Ely looking to strengthen its Employment team with the appointment of an experienced Employment Solicitor / Employment Lawyer.
This is an opportunity to join an ambitious and supportive firm where you'll have responsibility for your own caseload while playing an important role in the continued growth of the department.
The Role You'll advise clients across a broad range of employment law matters, which may include:
Employment contracts and policiesDisciplinary and grievance mattersRedundancy and restructuringSettlement agreementsDiscrimination and whistleblowingUnfair and wrongful dismissalEmployment Tribunal mattersTUPEGeneral HR and employment advisory work Depending on your experience, you'll work with both employers and individuals, managing matters from initial instruction through to conclusion.
About You We're interested in speaking with Employment Solicitors and experienced Employment Lawyers who are confident managing their own caseload.
You'll ideally have:
Strong employment law experienceExperience handling both contentious and non-contentious mattersConfidence advising clients directlyStrong drafting and communication skillsA commercial and pragmatic approachThe ability to manage your own workload effectively Experience advising businesses and building long-term client relationships would be particularly attractive.
