We’re partnered with an established aerospace precision engineering business based in Romford, manufacturing high-quality components for the aerospace sector.
Due to continued growth, they’re looking for an experienced Fine Limit Sheet Metal Worker to join their fabrication team.
This is a high-precision fabrication role for someone who takes real pride in their workmanship and is comfortable working to tight dimensional tolerances and demanding cosmetic standards.
You’ll be working with aerospace-grade materials and producing complex sheet metal components where accuracy, finish and attention to detail are critical.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for manufacturing, forming and assembling fine-limit sheet metal components, working from engineering drawings and technical instructions to ensure every component meets the required specification.
What You’ll Be Doing
Manufacturing and assembling fine-limit aerospace sheet metal componentsWorking from complex engineering drawings, patterns and technical instructionsForming, bending and shaping aerospace-grade materialsCarrying out drilling, riveting, fitting and assembly operationsProducing components to tight dimensional tolerancesEnsuring finished components meet required visual and cosmetic standardsCarrying out detailed finishing and preparation workMaintaining accurate job records and supporting full traceabilityWorking closely with Engineering, Quality and Production teamsIdentifying and resolving fabrication issues where requiredMaintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment What We’re Looking For
Proven experience as a Fine Limit Sheet Metal WorkerStrong aerospace sheet metal fabrication experienceExperience working with aluminium, stainless steel, titanium and other aerospace materialsAbility to interpret complex engineering drawingsStrong manual dexterity and fabrication skillsExperience working to tight tolerancesExcellent attention to detail and pride in workmanshipKnowledge of aerospace fabrication and assembly techniquesHigh standards of quality and finishExperience within another high-specification or precision manufacturing environment may also be considered where the relevant fine-limit fabrication skills are transferable. This isn't general sheet metal fabrication. We're looking for a skilled Fine Limit Sheet Metal Worker who understands the level of accuracy, consistency and workmanship required when manufacturing components for the aerospace industry.
You'll be working with high-specification materials, tight tolerances and demanding cosmetic standards, producing components where getting the detail right really matters.
