About this role
We have an immediate need for a QA tester for a client in Boca Raton, FL. This would be an initial 6 month contract, onsite in the office 5 days per week. Must have strong Linux experience including scripting.Required Skills:1. ISTQB Certification is a plus 2. 5 years of QA experience, with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions within tight deadlines. - Functional testing - System testing - Integration testing - Regression testing - User Acceptance Testing (UAT)3. Strong understanding of QA principles and processes, including:- Test case and test suite development- Bug/defect reporting- Requirements traceability- Software builds and releases- Testing deliverables and test execution processes4. Experience with software testing techniques, including:-Boundary Value Analysis (BVA)- Equivalence Class Partitioning- Decision Table Testing- State Transition Testing- Use Case Testing- Error Guessing- Exploratory Testing5. Linux Scripting knowledge and hands-on experience with day-to-day Linux activities. Experience can be with Ubuntu, Red Hat, or another Linux distribution.6. Basic programming/scripting skills in Bash, Python, JavaScript, or another programming/scripting language. The candidate should be comfortable reading, understanding, and using scripts as part of testing and troubleshooting activities.7. Basic networking fundamentals and hands-on troubleshooting knowledge, including:- Understanding of the OSI/network layers- TCP/IP fundamentals- IP addressing and subnetting- DNS- DHCP- Network connectivity troubleshooting- Ability to determine whether an issue is related to the application, operating system, virtualization layer, or networkJob Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Boca Raton, FL. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $55.00/hr.
