High Reach Forklift Operator- Carlisle PAJob DescriptionThis role focuses on operating high reach stand-up forklifts to accurately pick and move orders in a fast-paced warehouse environment. You will spend most of your time on a reach truck, working efficiently to meet order quotas while occasionally performing manual tasks off the lift. You will contribute to a clean, organized, and climate-controlled facility where safety and productivity are top priorities.Responsibilities
• Operate high reach stand-up forklifts to pick, move, and stage orders safely and accurately. • Use reach trucks to retrieve products from racking and prepare them for loading and unloading. • Perform order picking according to supervisor instructions and established processes. • Work at an efficient pace to consistently meet or exceed assigned order and productivity quotas. • Complete manual material handling tasks off the forklift when needed, including hand-stacking or organizing product. • Follow all warehouse safety procedures and remain aware of forklifts and other equipment moving throughout the facility. • Operate primarily Crown stand-up forklifts and adapt to other equipment as required. • Support receiving activities as needed, including handling inbound product and organizing inventory. • Maintain a clean and orderly work area within a busy warehouse environment. • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to coordinate work and resolve issues promptly. • Successfully complete and pass the forklift operator (FLO) test during the interview and onboarding process. Essential Skills
• 6 months to 1 year of stand-up forklift experience as a minimum qualification, with strong confidence in operating reach trucks. • Demonstrated ability to operate high reach stand-up forklifts safely and efficiently. • Experience operating reach trucks for order picking in a warehouse setting. • Ability to consistently meet order quotas and productivity targets in a fast-paced environment. • Solid understanding of basic warehouse operations, including order picking and material handling. • Strong work ethic with a reliable, consistent approach to attendance and performance. • Ability to pass a forklift operator (FLO) test during the interview process. • At least 2 years of experience in warehouse operations is preferred, particularly in receiving. • Ability to work the 2nd shift schedule from 3:15 PM to 11:45 PM, Monday through Friday. • Capacity to work safely around moving forklifts, trucks, and other warehouse equipment. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Carlisle, PA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
