WHAT THIS ROLE IS ABOUT The primary purpose of the Treasury is to safeguard the organization's global liquidity, manage financial market risks including foreign exchange, interest rate, and commodity exposures, and optimize the capital structure across a highly integrated multinational chemical group. This is achieved by executing hedging programs, managing funding instruments across debt capital markets, and maintaining strategic relationships with banks, rating agencies, and regulatory authorities to ensure financial resilience and support the organization's green transformation agenda. WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT Monitors and reports daily global cash positions, forecasts short- and medium-term liquidity requirements, and ensures sufficient funding availability across the organization's Production Verbund sites and subsidiaries worldwide. Executes hedging strategies for foreign exchange, interest rate, and commodity price risks using derivative instruments, ensuring counterparty risk is assessed and managed within approved limits. Manages corporate financing activities including the issuance of bonds, commercial paper, and credit facilities, and optimizes the capital structure in alignment with the organization's investment-grade rating targets. Maintains and develops relationships with banking partners, rating agencies such as Moody's and S&P, and regulatory bodies, representing the organization's financial position and funding strategy externally. Supports the migration to SAP S/4HANA Cloud treasury modules and leverages digital tools to automate cash management processes and enhance reporting accuracy across the global treasury platform. WHAT EXPERTISE YOU BRING A degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related quantitative discipline forms the required educational foundation for this role. Hands-on experience in corporate treasury, financial risk management, or capital markets within a multinational industrial or chemical company is essential. Proficiency in treasury management systems such as SAP Treasury and Risk Management or Kyriba, combined with strong knowledge of derivative instruments, ISDA documentation, and debt capital markets, is required. Fluency in English is mandatory; proficiency in German or another major European language is advantageous given the organization's Verbund structure and European headquarters context. The ability to collaborate effectively across global finance teams, engage with external financial institutions, and operate within a complex multi-entity holding structure is critical to success in this role.
