AV Service Engineer Connecticut & Western Massachusetts All Travel Expenses Covered No Overnight Travel Required Overview TEKsystems is seeking an experienced AV Service Engineer to support a leading AV integration organization throughout Connecticut and Western Massachusetts.This is a field-based service role focused on advanced troubleshooting, diagnostics, break-fix support, programming modifications, and ongoing support of complex AV environments. This is not an installation role. The ideal candidate will serve as a technical escalation point for issues involving Crestron, Q-SYS, Biamp, UC platforms, AV-over-IP systems, and enterprise classroom technologies.We're looking for someone who can walk into a customer environment, quickly identify the root cause of a problem, and independently drive resolution. This person should be comfortable troubleshooting everything from signal flow issues and rack systems to networking concerns and control system programming. Key Responsibilities

• Respond to AV service calls throughout Connecticut and Western Massachusetts. • Troubleshoot complex AV systems in higher education, corporate, and commercial environments. • Download, review, modify, test, and upload existing Crestron programming. • Utilize Crestron Toolbox for diagnostics, firmware updates, device discovery, and system management. • Troubleshoot Crestron control processors, touch panels, DM, and NVX environments. • Support and diagnose Q-SYS and Biamp DSP platforms. • Troubleshoot rack-based AV systems and UC engines. • Resolve control system, audio, video, DSP, and device communication issues. • Support Microsoft Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms, and other UC technologies. • Diagnose network-related issues including IP conflicts, VLANs, multicast traffic, switching issues, and endpoint connectivity. • Work directly with customer stakeholders and IT teams to resolve technical issues. • Document service activities, findings, and corrective actions. Required Skills

• 5+ years of commercial AV experience supporting enterprise environments. • Strong experience with AV field service and break-fix troubleshooting. • Advanced Crestron experience required. • Strong experience supporting and troubleshooting Crestron NVX environments. • Ability to download, modify, test, and upload existing Crestron programs. • Experience using Crestron Toolbox for diagnostics and troubleshooting. • Strong experience with Q-SYS and/or Biamp DSP platforms. • Strong understanding of AV-over-IP technologies. • Solid understanding of network topology, TCP/IP, VLANs, switching, multicast, DHCP, and endpoint communications. • Experience troubleshooting rack systems and UC engines. • Expert understanding of AV signal flow and system troubleshooting. • Ability to diagnose software, firmware, control system, and hardware-related issues. • Experience reading drawings, schematics, and technical documentation. Preferred Qualifications

• Crestron certification or programming experience. • Q-SYS certification. • Biamp Tesira experience. • CTS, CTS-I, or CTS-D certification. • Experience supporting higher education classroom technology. • Experience supporting executive boardrooms, conference centers, and enterprise collaboration spaces. Travel Requirements

• Daily travel throughout Connecticut and Western Massachusetts. • All travel expenses covered. • No overnight travel required. • Home every night. • Service calls are scheduled to maximize efficiency and minimize drive time whenever possible. • Travel is limited to the assigned territory and coordinated by the service team. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of New Haven, CT. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $40.00 - $53.00/hr.
