Job Description - must be willing to travel/work per diem Coordinate and execute fiber optic installations, including:Structured cabling systems (SM/MM fiber) - must have FIBER, not just cat 4-7 copper experience Fiber trays, ladder racks, and cable pathwaysRack-and-stack cabling in data center environmentsInterpret blueprints, cable schedules, and network diagramsEnsure adherence to project timelines and deliverablesCommunicate progress, issues, and status updates to project managementTechnical OversightPerform and oversee fiber splicing, termination, and testingEnsure proper use of testing equipment (OTDR, power meters, VFL, etc.)Troubleshoot fiber network issues and implement corrective actionsVerify labeling, documentation, and cable management meet standardsMaintain quality control and ensure installations meet client specificationsSafety & CompliancePromote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with OSHA and site-specific safety requirementsIdentify and mitigate potential hazards on-siteEnsure proper PPE usage and safe work practices at all timesDocumentation & ReportingMaintain accurate records of installations, test results, and as-built documentationSubmit daily reports, progress updates, and incident reports as requiredAssist with project close-out documentationSkillsData center, Cat5, Install, fiberTop Skills DetailsData center,Cat5,Install,fiberAdditional Skills & QualificationsHands-on background in cabling, construction, field work, etc. would be great.
