Location: New Albany, OH (Onsite)Duration: 5-6 Month Contract (Potential for Extension)Pay Rate: Up to $30/hrSchedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PMOn-Call: Rotating On-Call Schedule RequiredProject Schedule: During site turn-ups, schedule shifts to 10-hour days, 6 days per weekExperience Level: Intermediate Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Center Audit Technician to support fiber validation, auditing, troubleshooting, and infrastructure verification activities within a large-scale data center environment in New Albany, Ohio.This role focuses on validating fiber and copper infrastructure, conducting audits, identifying discrepancies, troubleshooting Layer 1 connectivity issues, and ensuring documentation accuracy across network assets. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with telecom, ISP, structured cabling, or data center infrastructure and possess strong troubleshooting and documentation skills. Key Responsibilities
• Support fiber audit activities, including verification and validation of installed infrastructure. • Audit fiber and copper cabling installations within active data center environments. • Verify cable routing, labeling, pathway utilization, and documentation accuracy. • Validate inventory, connectivity, patch panels, rack layouts, and network asset information. • Conduct circuit tracing and infrastructure verification activities. • Troubleshoot Layer 1 connectivity and configuration issues. • Identify fiber, copper, patching, labeling, and documentation discrepancies. • Collaborate with engineering, deployment, and operations teams to resolve issues and implement corrective actions. • Support QA/QC inspections and remediation efforts. • Compare installed infrastructure against engineering drawings, EDP documentation, floor plans, cable maps, and technical designs. • Maintain accurate audit reports, testing records, validation results, and project documentation. • Provide structured feedback and recommendations regarding infrastructure findings. • Follow established safety, quality, and operational standards throughout all project activities. Required Skills & Experience
• Experience in data centers, telecommunications, ISP, network infrastructure, or structured cabling environments. • Strong understanding of EDP (Engineering Design Package) and technical design documentation. • Knowledge of telecom and network infrastructure concepts. • Hands-on Layer 1 troubleshooting experience. • Experience auditing, testing, validating, or troubleshooting fiber and copper infrastructure. • Ability to read and interpret: • Floor plans • Port maps • Cable schedules • Rack elevations • Engineering documentation
• High attention to detail and documentation accuracy. • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. • Excellent communication and team collaboration skills. Required Technical Experience

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr.
