Main duties of the job The position requires an individual with a strong background in kitchens, particularly someone who understands how to run a professional kitchen environment. You will be responsible for menu planning, in collaboration with home managers and residents, to develop and implement creative menu ideas especially for themed days and events. Knowledge of dietary needs and modified food textures is crucial, as you will ensure all nutritional and dietary requirements are met. The role also involves kitchen management, stock management, and maintaining hygiene standards. The position is based on a bank (zero hour) contract, and you will need to have at least 12 months left on your right to work. Shifts will be from 7 am to 4 pm, offering a competitive hourly wage of £13.50 along with several benefits including career development and fully funded training opportunities.

Menu planning -Collaborating with the home manager and our residents' requests and wishes, you will be able to develop and implement menu ideas. Our homes are always having themed days and events where you can showcase your skills and creativity. Understanding dietary needs - You will work closely with the wider staff to ensure we are meeting our resident's specific nutritional and dietary needs including modified food textures and allergies. Kitchen Management -You will be the main point of contact for the kitchen and responsible for the day to day running of stock management and hygiene standardsAbout Agincare

Qualifications Essential

A background in kitchens, understanding of professional kitchen operations, knowledge of the IDDSI framework and complex dietary requirements is desired.
