Junior High Boys Wrestling Coach New London Community School District Stipend: $2,547 New London Community School District is seeking a Junior High Boys Wrestling Coach. The coach will work with student-athletes to develop wrestling skills, promote teamwork and sportsmanship, and provide a positive experience for students participating in the program. Responsibilities:
• Plan and conduct practices that support skill development, conditioning, safety, and teamwork.
• Provide appropriate instruction and coaching during practices and competitions.
• Promote positive sportsmanship, character, and appropriate student behavior.
• Maintain expectations for student-athlete attendance, eligibility, and academic success.
• Communicate effectively with student-athletes, families, school administration, and other coaches.
• Work collaboratively with the high school wrestling program and Activities Director to support consistency within the district's wrestling program.
• Follow district policies and applicable conference and state athletic regulations.
• Maintain and care for district equipment and facilities.
• Complete other responsibilities related to the coaching assignment as needed.
Qualifications:
• Valid Iowa coaching authorization or endorsement as required by the Iowa Board of Educational Examiners.
• Ability to work effectively with junior high students.
• Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills.
• Wrestling and/or coaching experience preferred.
