Job summary The Paediatric Liaison Service Administrator provides essential administrative and secretarial support to the Paediatric Liaison Team, working closely with the Paediatric Liaison Specialist Nurse/Health Visitor. The role plays a key part in supporting safeguarding and paediatric liaison activity by managing confidential information, coordinating communication with internal and external agencies, and ensuring that clinical documentation and safeguarding concerns are processed accurately and within agreed timeframes. Through effective use of IT systems and data management, including Excelbased reporting, the post holder contributes to safeguarding oversight, audit, and service monitoring. This role supports the Trusts wider commitment to safeguarding children and young people, effective information sharing, and delivery of safe, highquality care across services.

Provide efficient and confidential administrative and secretarial support to the Paediatric Liaison Service. Receive, process, and appropriately share paediatric and safeguarding information, escalating concerns to the relevant clinician as required. Act as a key point of contact for internal and external enquiries, maintaining clear and professional communication. Ensure safeguarding information and documentation are managed accurately and within agreed timeframes. Maintain electronic systems, databases, and patient records in line with information governance requirements. Collate and input data using Excel, supporting routine reporting, audits, and service monitoring within agreed timeframes. Arrange meetings, manage diaries, prepare agendas, and take and distribute accurate minutes. Support the effective daytoday running of the Paediatric Liaison service by prioritising workloads and working collaboratively within the Safeguarding Team.

The post holder will provide confidential and effective administrative and secretarial support to the Paediatric Liaison Service, working under the direction of the Paediatric Liaison Specialist Nurse/Health Visitor. The role involves managing sensitive paediatric and safeguarding information, ensuring concerns are processed accurately, escalated appropriately, and actioned within agreed timeframes.
The post holder will maintain accurate records, manage electronic systems and databases, and use Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint to support correspondence, data management, reporting, presentations, audits, and service monitoring on a daily basis. They will act as a key point of contact for internal and external enquiries, demonstrating professionalism, tact, and discretion at all times.
The role requires the ability to manage and prioritise a varied workload in a busy environment, working both independently and as part of the wider Safeguarding Team and be flexible to meet the needs of the service. The post holder is expected to maintain high standards of confidentiality, accuracy, and communication, in line with Trust policies and safeguarding procedures.
