About this role

DelfinGroup, part of INDEXO group, is a Latvian fintech company offering accessible, straightforward, and customer-oriented financial and circular economy services. We create added value by integrating financial and circular retail services, making them easily accessible both in person and online.

We are looking for an experienced IT Project Manager who will take ownership of DelfinGroup's IT project portfolio — from business-driven initiatives and technical improvements to IT security work and system maintenance. This is a hands-on role for someone who can coordinate multiple stakeholders, resources, timelines, budgets, and risks at once, and who wants to bring structure and predictability to how IT delivers for the business.

MissionEnsure timely, predictable, and high-quality delivery of IT projects and system improvements — spanning business needs, technical upgrades, IT security initiatives, system maintenance, and bug fixes — by effectively coordinating stakeholders, resources, timelines, budgets, and risks.

Expected OutcomesFirst 3 Months

Get up to speed on DelfinGroup's core IT products, systems, their interdependencies, and the development process

Take over management of active IT projects: organize the backlog, project plans, priorities, and resource needs

Establish regular status reporting on progress, risks, and dependencies

Independently run sprint planning

Within 6 Months

Independently manage several projects in parallel

Work closely with the business, IT Product Owners, Architects, System Analysts, Development, QA, and external vendors

Implement a consistent approach to project planning, progress tracking, and status reporting

Identify weak points in existing processes and introduce practical improvements to project management, sprint planning, resource coordination, and information flow

Within 12 Months

Fully independently manage the project portfolio with predictable delivery

Proactively identify risks early and report clearly to management and stakeholders

Operate a project management process that is structured, transparent, and data-driven

Actively contribute to improving project management and software development practices, raising delivery quality, planning accuracy, and IT–business collaboration

Experience & Technical SkillsAt least 3 years managing IT or software development projects, with a demonstrable track record — specific projects, their scope, budget, timelines, and actual results vs. plan

Experience managing several parallel projects that share the same development resources

Experience working with external vendors — contracts, work acceptance, resolving delays

Experience in a regulated industry (financial services, insurance, telecom) is an advantage, where some deadlines are driven by regulatory requirements

Working knowledge of Jira, Confluence, and MS Office

Active, effective use of AI and automation tools in daily work — project planning, information gathering, documentation, status reporting, and streamlining other routine processes; able to speak concretely about tools used, tasks applied to, and measurable results achieved

PMP / PRINCE2 / PSM certification is a plus but not required — a proven project portfolio matters more

Latvian at a high level (business communication and documentation); English at a professional level (technical documentation, vendors)

What You Will Work OnManaging a portfolio of IT projects in parallel — from intake through delivery

Running sprint planning, prioritization, and backlog management

Coordinating business stakeholders, IT Product Owners, Architects, System Analysts, Development, and QA

Managing external vendor relationships — contracts, work acceptance, delay resolution

Identifying and escalating risks and dependencies early

Building and maintaining a consistent project reporting cadence for management and stakeholders

Continuously improving project management and delivery processes

Cultural FitYou will succeed in this role if you:

Take ownership and drive results without waiting for detailed instructions

Communicate risks and problems openly, directly, and early

Are comfortable managing several competing priorities at once

Make decisions independently and are accountable for outcomes

Can clearly describe a project that missed a deadline — what happened, and what you'd do differently

Enjoy bringing structure and transparency to ambiguous situations

You may struggle in this role if you:

Prefer clearly defined, unchanging tasks

Avoid making decisions independently

Struggle to work effectively across multiple priorities at once

Delay communicating risks or problems until it's too late

Avoid taking ownership of outcomes

Expect detailed instructions for every next step

Offered salary for this position is starting from 3,000 EUR gross

What We OfferThe opportunity to grow and develop with DelfinGroup, a Nasdaq Riga-listed company with ambitious expansion plans

Regular office snacks, genuinely optional team-building activities, and tailored professional training opportunities

Ownership of a full IT project portfolio from day one, with direct visibility to leadership

Close collaboration with Product Owners, Architects, System Analysts, Development, and QA across the organization
