Reporting to: Team Leader – Material Characterization
As a Field Technical Sales Engineer, you will be the key technical and commercial contact for customers using the Brabender product range within your territory.
Combining technical expertise with a strong commercial mindset, you will identify customer needs, advise them throughout their projects and recommend the most suitable solutions for their applications, primarily in the plastics and polymers industry.
This is a field-based position involving regular customer visits and a high degree of autonomy in managing and developing your territory.
Your Main Responsibilities :
Develop sales of the Brabender product range across the northern half of FranceIdentify and generate new business opportunitiesDevelop, manage and maintain a portfolio of industrial customersAnalyze customers’ technical and application requirementsRecommend tailored solutions in the fields of plastics, polymers, extrusion and compoundingPresent our solutions and conduct technical equipment demonstrationsProvide first-level technical support to customersSupport customers throughout their projects, from initial needs assessment through to solution follow-upBuild and maintain strong, long-term customer relationshipsManage and follow up on projects and sales opportunities within your territoryWork closely with Anton Paar France’s sales, technical and application teamsCollaborate with the Brabender teams in Germany to provide the most appropriate solutions for our customers and contribute to achieving sales targetsThese responsibilities reflect the core scope of the original position, including customer needs analysis, technical demonstrations, first-level technical support, customer relationship development and collaboration with the German team.
You have a higher education degree in science or engineering, ideally in materials science, polymers, plastics engineering, materials chemistry or a related field.
You have at least 3 years of technical experience, ideally gained in an environment related to materials, plastics or polymers. The original job description requires at least three years of technical experience in material testing and/or quality control.
Knowledge of extrusion, compounding or polymer processing technologies would be a strong advantage.

This is a field-based position covering primarily the northern half of France.
Regular travel is required to visit customers and prospects, conduct demonstrations and support projects throughout the territory.
To ensure efficient coverage of the region and facilitate travel, the successful candidate should ideally be based in the Paris / Île-de-France area or nearby.
The position requires a high level of mobility and autonomy in organizing customer visits and travel schedules.
Occasional travel to other parts of France and abroad will also be required, particularly for training and meetings with the Brabender teams in Germany. The original job description requires mobility within France and occasional international travel for internal training.
The compensation package will be determined according to the candidate's profile and experience.
