Job summary Barchester Healthcare is looking for a proactive and detail-driven Property Development Manager to lead the delivery of our development projects ensuring every scheme is completed on time, within budget, and to an exceptional standard. Provide clear, timely reporting to support divisional development committees and Board approvals
Demonstrate progress and compliance throughout each project's development journey
Lead the management of new-build projects when required
Requirements:
Proven experience delivering extensions and refurbishments across a multi-site portfolio, on time and on budget
Strong background working with contractors and property consultants, ideally within the care or health sector
Commercially astute, confident using financial data, and skilled in negotiating and influencing external partners
Able to lead and manage external teams to deliver projects that meet business needs
Knowledge of healthcare building regulations, estates management, and build contracts (JCT, NEC3), plus relevant statutory requirements

Qualifications Essential
Proven experience with extensions and refurbishments, strong background in contracting within the care or health sector, commercially astute, knowledge of healthcare building regulations
