About this role
The Events Team Leader plays a vital role in delivering exceptional guest experiences across Warwick Castle’s diverse programme of events. From weddings, banquets, conferences and themed dining experiences to seasonal attractions and live music concerts, this role is responsible for leading front-line event teams and supporting the successful delivery of a wide range of hospitality and entertainment events.
Working closely with the Events Manager, the Events Team Leader will supervise Event Hosts, coordinate event operations, and ensure the highest standards of customer service, presentation, and safety are maintained at all times. This is hands-on leadership role within a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership
Lead, motivate, and support a team of Event Hosts during events and day-to-day operationsConduct team briefings and allocate duties to ensure smooth event deliveryProvide coaching, guidance, and support to team members, promoting a positive and collaborative working environment Lead by example, demonstrating professionalism, excellent customer service, and a strong work ethicSupport the training of new team membersAssist managers with rota implementation and workforce coordination during eventsCustomer Service
Deliver exceptional guest service in line with company and venue standardsProvide a warm and professional welcome to all guests attending eventsRespond positively and professionally to guest requests, enquiries, and complaintsActively engage with guests to enhance their overall event experienceResolve minor guest concerns and escalate more complex issues where appropriateSupport the smooth running of events whilst maintaining a positive and enthusiastic attitudeFood & Beverage Operations
Serve food and beverages to guests efficiently and professionally Support table service operations, including clearing and resetting tables between coursesOversees service standards and ensure guests receive prompt and efficient serviceOperate bar facilities in accordance with company procedures and licensing requirementsMonitor stock levels during events and support replenishment activities where requiredMaintain exceptional standards of cleanliness and presentation throughout service periodsEvent Operations
Support the planning, setup, operation, and breakdown of event spaces and equipmentCoordinate event marshalling activities and assist with guest flow managementEnsure venues are prepared to the required standard before guest arrivalProvide operational leadership throughout events to ensure they run smoothly and efficientlySupport the delivery of weddings, conferences, banquets, concerts, corporate functions, and seasonal eventsAssist with troubleshooting operational challenges and implementing solutions during live eventsAdapt to varying event formats, business demands, and operational requirementsSupport the management team in achieving event revenue, guest satisfaction, and operational targetsHealth & Safety
Follow all Health & Safety, Food Safety, and company procedures Maintain a safe environment for guests, colleagues, contractors, and performersEnsure team members adhere to safe working practices and company standardsReport any hazards, incidents, accidents, or concerns promptlySupport compliance with responsible alcohol service standardsSupport the venue’s commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety, and presentation Essential criteria:
