Misión <div style="font-family:'Segoe UI';font-size:14px;font-style:normal;font-weight:400;line-height:20px;">We are seeking a <strong>Principal Mechanical Engineer</strong> to join B-Global Tech's MEP Team, <strong>specialising in the design</strong> and delivery of mission-critical data centre facilities across the APAC region.<br><br>As a technical leader for B-Global Tech's data centre practice, you will play a key role in driving <strong>mechanical design excellence</strong>, <strong>representing our expertise to clients </strong>and industry partners, and contributing to the continued growth of our data centre business. You will <strong>lead the mechanical design of complex data centre projects</strong> within multidisciplinary teams, leveraging your extensive experience in delivering world-class facilities for hyperscale, colocation, and enterprise clients.<br><br><strong>This is a key leadership role</strong> created to support B-Global Tech's continued expansion in the rapidly growing Data Centre sector. Beyond project delivery, you will help <strong>shape our engineering standards, mentor and develop technical talent, strengthen client relationships, and contribute to the evolution of our design capabilities</strong>. Your leadership and expertise will be instrumental in reinforcing B-Global Tech's reputation as a trusted partner for innovative, resilient, and sustainable digital infrastructure across the region.</div> What will be your responsibilities? <strong>Technical Leadership & Design Excellence<br></strong><ul><li>Lead the mechanical design of mission-critical data centre projects, providing technical direction and ensuring solutions meet the highest standards of reliability, efficiency, maintainability, and sustainability.</li></ul><strong>Design Review & Technical Problem Solving</strong><ul><li>Lead design reviews and resolve complex engineering challenges through innovative and practical solutions. Identify technical risks, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure successful project outcomes.</li></ul><strong>Data Centre Mechanical Subject Matter Expertise</strong><ul><li>Serve as the mechanical engineering authority for data centre infrastructure, including HVAC systems, chilled water plants, cooling technologies, plumbing systems, controls integration, redundancy strategies, and operational resilience.</li></ul><strong>Engineering Standards & Quality Assurance<br></strong><ul><li>Drive the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of B-Global Tech's engineering standards, design methodologies, and best practices. Review and approve design deliverables to ensure technical excellence and consistency across projects.</li></ul><strong>Client & Stakeholder Engagement</strong><ul><li>Act as a trusted technical advisor to clients, consultants, contractors, and project stakeholders. Lead technical discussions, design workshops, and presentations throughout the project lifecycle.</li></ul><strong>Multidisciplinary Design Coordination</strong><ul><li>Collaborate closely with electrical, controls, civil, ICT, structural, and architectural teams to deliver fully integrated data centre solutions that meet client objectives and operational requirements.</li></ul><strong>Project Delivery & Technical Oversight</strong><ul><li>Provide technical leadership across multiple concurrent projects, ensuring designs are delivered on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with project requirements, industry standards, and regulatory codes.</li></ul><strong>Commissioning & Design Validation</strong><ul><li>Support commissioning activities, site inspections, factory acceptance testing, and technical due diligence reviews to ensure systems perform as intended and align with the original design objectives.</li></ul><strong>Mentoring & Capability Development</strong><ul><li>Mentor and develop engineers within the MEP team, fostering technical growth, knowledge sharing, and a culture of engineering excellence.<strong><br></strong></li></ul><strong>Business Development Support</strong><br><ul><li>Contribute technical expertise to proposals, client presentations, tender submissions, and business development activities, helping strengthen B-Global Tech's position within the data centre market.</li></ul><strong>Industry Leadership & Innovation</strong><ul><li>Stay at the forefront of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in data centre design. Share insights internally and externally, helping drive innovation and continuous improvement across the business.</li></ul> This is the profile we are looking for <strong>Education & Professional Experience</strong><ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline, or equivalent practical experience.</li><li>10+ years of experience in mechanical engineering design consultancy, with significant experience delivering large-scale data centres, mission-critical facilities, or other complex infrastructure projects.</li><li>Experience working with clients, developers, consultants, contractors, and multidisciplinary project teams across all phases of project delivery.</li></ul><strong><br>Technical Expertise</strong><ul><li>Strong understanding of mechanical systems supporting high-availability and mission-critical environments.</li><li>Ability to review, guide, and influence mechanical designs, specifications, commissioning strategies, technical standards, and engineering deliverables.</li><li>Strong knowledge of engineering principles, safety practices, international codes, and industry standards relevant to data centre design.</li></ul><strong><br>Leadership & Problem Solving</strong><ul><li>Demonstrated ability to independently resolve complex engineering challenges and make sound technical decisions.</li><li>Proven ability to mentor, develop, and elevate the technical capability of engineering teams.</li><li>Experience providing technical leadership on complex, multidisciplinary projects.</li></ul><strong><br>Communication & Stakeholder Management</strong><ul><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients, stakeholders, and project teams.</li><li>Strong presentation, technical documentation, and stakeholder management capabilities.</li><li>Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver successful outcomes across concurrent APAC projects in a fast-paced environment.</li></ul><br><br> Our benefits <ol><li>Hybrid working arrangement – 2 days in the office, with the remaining 3 days working from home</li><li>Company-provided laptop and accessories</li><li>Medical & Outpatient benefits</li><li>Hospitalization insurance </li><li>Annual leave – starting from 18 days per year</li><li>Performance-based annual bonus (based on KPIs)</li><li>Annual salary increment </li><li>Training and development opportunities to support your career growth</li></ol><br><br>
