About this role

Misión We are looking for an experienced <strong>Power Systems Engineer</strong> with <strong>strong hands-on ETAP expertise</strong> to join our growing engineering team. <br><br>The ideal candidate will <strong>possess</strong><strong> a solid understanding of both ETAP modelling and the engineering principles</strong> behind power system analysis, with<strong> the</strong><strong> ability to independently interpret study results and provide sound technical recommendations to the design team</strong>.<br><br>The successful candidate will be responsible for <strong>developing and validating ETAP models</strong>, as well as <strong>carrying out detailed power system studies</strong> for <strong>large-scale data centre and mission-critical projects</strong>.<br><br>This is a specialist technical position that requires a high level of analytical capability, technical judgment, and practical power systems engineering experience. What will be your responsibilities? <ul><li>Develop and maintain detailed <strong>ETAP power system models</strong> for HV, MV and LV electrical networks.</li><li>Perform <strong>Load Flow Analysis</strong> under normal, maintenance and contingency operating conditions.</li><li>Perform <strong>Short Circuit / Fault Level Studies</strong> and verify equipment ratings.</li><li>Perform <strong>Protection Coordination &amp; Selectivity Studies using ETAP STAR</strong>, including TCC development and protection-setting recommendations.</li><li>Perform <strong>Arc Flash Studies</strong> and identify appropriate mitigation measures.</li><li>Perform <strong>Harmonic Analysis</strong>, including THDi and THDv assessment.</li><li>Perform <strong>Motor Starting / Motor Acceleration Studies</strong>.</li><li>Assess <strong>transformer sizing, loading, impedance, tap settings and voltage regulation</strong>.</li><li>Perform <strong>cable sizing and electrical performance verification</strong>.</li><li>Analyse different data-centre operating scenarios including <strong>utility failure, generator operation, UPS operation/bypass, transformer failure and other contingency conditions</strong>.</li><li>Review ETAP results and identify issues relating to fault levels, voltage drop, equipment overstressing, protection coordination and system performance.</li><li>Prepare comprehensive <strong>Power System Study Reports</strong> with assumptions, methodology, results and engineering recommendations.</li><li>Coordinate with design engineers, equipment vendors, contractors and commissioning teams to obtain and validate modelling information.</li></ul>The ETAP capabilities we are targeting align closely with the <strong>Power Simulator Scale</strong> functions in the attached ETAP package, including Load Flow, Short Circuit, Transformer Sizing/Tap Optimisation, Cable Sizing, STAR Protection Coordination, Motor Acceleration and Harmonics. This is the profile we are looking for <ul><li>Bachelor's Degree in <strong>Electrical Engineering / Power Engineering</strong> or equivalent.</li><li>Minimum <strong>5 years of relevant electrical engineering experience</strong>.</li><li>Strong and demonstrable <strong>hands-on ETAP experience is mandatory</strong>.</li><li>Good knowledge of HV, MV and LV electrical distribution systems.</li><li>Strong understanding of <strong>short circuit calculations, load flow, protection coordination and electrical system behaviour</strong>.</li><li>Experience with transformers, generators, UPS systems, switchgear, busways and critical electrical distribution.</li><li>Familiarity with applicable <strong>IEC / IEEE standards</strong>.</li><li>Ability to independently develop ETAP models and troubleshoot modelling issues.</li><li>Ability to interpret study results and translate findings into practical design recommendations.</li><li>Good technical report-writing and communication skills.</li></ul><strong>Preferred Experience</strong><ul><li>Experience in <strong>data centres or other mission-critical facilities</strong> will be highly advantageous.</li><li>Candidates with experience in the following will be given preference:<br><strong>ETAP STAR Protection Coordination | Arc Flash | Harmonics | Motor Acceleration | Generator Systems | UPS Systems | Transformer Inrush | Ground Grid / Earthing Studies</strong></li><li>Specialised analysis capabilities that include further studies such as unbalanced networks and transformer inrush as ETAP also identifies Arc Flash and Ground Grid.</li></ul><strong>Who We Are Looking For</strong><ul><li>We are <strong>not looking for someone who only knows how to operate ETAP software</strong>.</li><li>We are looking for a <strong>Power Systems Engineer</strong> who can understand the electrical network, establish the correct study assumptions, challenge incorrect input data, analyse abnormal results and provide technically sound recommendations.</li><li><strong>ETAP modelling and power system study experience is a key requirement for this position.</strong></li></ul> Our benefits <ol><li>Hybrid working arrangement – 2 days in the office, with the remaining 3 days working from home</li><li>Company-provided laptop and accessories</li><li>Medical &amp; Outpatient benefits</li><li>Hospitalization insurance </li><li>Annual leave – starting from 18 days per year</li><li>Performance-based annual bonus (based on KPIs)</li><li>Annual salary increment </li><li>Training and development opportunities to support your career growth</li></ol><br><br>
