Job Title: Warehouse AssociateJob DescriptionThe Warehouse Associate is responsible for accurately tracking inventory and preparing finished goods for shipment. This role focuses on efficient loading and unloading of materials, maintaining precise inventory records using computers or RF handheld scanners, and supporting daily warehouse operations to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment. Responsibilities • Load finished products onto trucks or other transport vehicles for shipment in a safe and efficient manner. • Unload incoming raw materials and verify quantities and condition against documentation. • Use computers or RF handheld scanners to log inventory data and update stock levels in the system. • Maintain accurate records of inventory movements, including receipts, transfers, and shipments. • Prepare products for shipping, including packing, labeling, and staging orders according to shipping requirements. • Handle materials throughout the warehouse, including moving, stacking, and organizing products to optimize space and workflow. • Support shipping and receiving activities by checking in deliveries and preparing outgoing orders. • Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks in accordance with safety guidelines (stand-up forklift operation when permitted). • Assist with general labor tasks within the warehouse, including cleaning work areas and maintaining an orderly environment. • Collaborate with team members to meet daily productivity goals and ensure on-time shipment of customer orders. Essential Skills • Hands-on warehouse experience, including shipping and receiving activities. • Proficiency in inventory tracking and stock control processes. • Ability to use computers or RF handheld scanners to log and maintain inventory data. • Experience with material handling, including moving and organizing products safely. • Skill in packing and packaging products for shipment according to guidelines. • Ability to load and unload trucks or other transport vehicles efficiently. • Capability to perform general labor tasks in a warehouse environment. • Experience operating forklifts, including stand-up forklifts when permitted. • Knowledge of basic shipping preparation, including labeling and staging orders. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Prior experience in a warehouse setting handling inventory, material handling, and shipping prep. • Familiarity with RF handheld scanners and warehouse management systems. • Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with time-sensitive shipping deadlines. • Attention to detail to maintain accurate inventory records and avoid shipping errors. • Ability to follow established safety procedures and equipment operation guidelines. • Strong teamwork and communication skills to coordinate tasks with other warehouse staff. The setting includes shipping and receiving areas, storage racks, and staging zones for prepared orders. Work hours typically follow standard warehouse shifts aligned with shipping and receiving schedules, and attire should be practical and suitable for an industrial setting, allowing for safe operation of equipment and comfortable movement during material handling tasks. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Suwanee, GA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
