Maintenance Technician's Needed Clarksville 2nd & 3rd Shift up to $32/hr! Job DescriptionThis role focuses on maintaining and repairing production machinery and equipment to ensure reliable, safe, and efficient manufacturing operations. The Maintenance Technician exercises sound mechanical judgment, performs preventive and corrective maintenance, and supports continuous improvement of production systems. This position works on either first or second shift and plays a key role in keeping equipment, facilities, and grounds in excellent working condition.Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair production machinery and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation. • Exercise sound mechanical judgment when diagnosing issues and determining appropriate repairs. • Improve the reliability and repeatability of production systems through effective maintenance practices. • Perform preventative maintenance according to established schedules and procedures. • Assist with equipment installation, testing, and start-up to support new or upgraded production lines. • Plan and implement corrective actions in alignment with management direction and production needs. • Maintain the building, equipment, and grounds in a clean, orderly, and functional condition. • Purchase maintenance supplies and equipment parts as needed or as directed to support ongoing operations. • Provide guidance and support to production associates on the proper use and care of machinery. • Comply with all safety standards and regulations while performing maintenance tasks. • Take responsibility for the 5S housekeeping system within the maintenance work area and in any work areas where machinery and equipment repairs are performed. • Troubleshoot and repair electrical, electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic, fluid power, mechanical, and plumbing systems as needed. • Read and interpret drawings, schematics, and work instructions to perform accurate and timely repairs. • Support conveyor maintenance and other material-handling equipment to minimize downtime. • Collaborate with other team members and departments to ensure smooth production and minimal disruption during maintenance activities. Essential Skills

• 35 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment. • Two years of technical training strongly preferred. • Experience with manufacturing processes and production machinery. • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic, fluid power, mechanical, and plumbing systems. • Proficiency in PLC troubleshooting and PLC control. • Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics and drawings. • Experience with relay logic and 3-phase electrical systems. • Hands-on experience with hydraulics and pneumatics. • Experience with conveyor maintenance and related equipment. • Intermediate reading, writing, and arithmetic skills. • Ability to follow routers and work instructions accurately. • Safety-oriented mindset with basic knowledge of regulations and standards required by OSHA and other applicable regulatory agencies. • Ability to work independently as a self-starter with minimal supervision. • Strong mechanical aptitude and sound mechanical judgment. • Ability to comply with and support 5S housekeeping standards. Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Technical training or education in a related field (such as industrial maintenance, electronics, or mechanical systems) is strongly preferred. • Prior experience in a family-owned or smaller manufacturing environment is beneficial. • Ability to provide clear guidance and support to production associates on machinery use and care. • Strong organizational skills to manage preventive maintenance schedules and parts purchasing. • Comfort working across multiple systems, including electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment. • Willingness to participate in on-site training and continuous learning opportunities. • Flexibility to assist on other shifts when needed. Flexibility required for overtime and occasional assistance on other shifts as needed. The work is physically active and involves standing, walking, lifting, and bending to access machinery for repairs. You must be able to lift materials and products weighing up to 50 pounds. You will regularly work with production machinery, electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, PLC-controlled equipment, conveyors, and related tools and technologies. The environment emphasizes safety, adherence to regulations, and maintaining clean, organized work areas through a 5S housekeeping system. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Clarksville, TN. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $27.00 - $32.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
