Job Title: Production WorkerJob DescriptionThe Production Worker supports the printing press operator by running automated machines that print on bags and pouches, handling materials and supplies, and maintaining a clean and safe work area. This is a physically demanding role that involves frequent lifting of 40–50 pounds and working as part of a collaborative production team.Responsibilities
• Assist the printing press operator in running automated machines that print on bags and pouches. • Load and unload materials into the machines, including rolls of material, ink, and finished product. • Handle material movement around the plant, including mounting and staging materials for production. • Perform visual inspection of products to ensure quality standards are met. • Support packing, labelling, and packaging activities on the production line. • Operate production equipment and power tools safely and efficiently as directed. • Use basic measurement tools, such as a tape measure, to verify product specifications. • Assist with inventory, picking, and material handling tasks as needed. • Maintain a clean and organized work area, especially during downtime. • Follow manufacturing, safety, and operational procedures consistently. • Work as a team player, supporting coworkers and contributing to a positive production environment. Essential Skills
• Experience in production, general production, or manufacturing environments. • Experience in operating or assisting with production machinery or automated equipment. • Ability to perform assembly, packaging, and production line tasks. • Comfort with frequent lifting of 40–50 pounds and standing for extended periods. • Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to learn machine operation. • Ability to use a tape measure and read simple measurements. • Experience with visual inspection and quality checking of products. • Material handling experience, including loading, unloading, and staging materials. • Ability to follow instructions and adhere to safety and operational procedures. • Strong teamwork and communication skills. • Experience with forklifts or other material handling equipment. • Familiarity with blueprint reading or basic production documentation. • Experience with cleaning and maintaining production work areas. • Comfort using power tools in a manufacturing setting. • Experience in inventory tasks such as picking, labelling, and tracking materials. • Prior experience as a machine operator or helper in a printing or packaging facility. Available schedules include a first shift from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with a 7.5-hour workday and two 15-minute breaks; a second shift from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., Monday through Friday; and a graveyard shift from 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., Monday through Thursday. The work takes place on a production floor with automated printing presses, material handling equipment, and packaging lines, where employees regularly lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive tasks while standing. The environment is fast-paced, safety-focused, and team-oriented, with an emphasis on maintaining clean and organized work areas throughout each shift. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Albuquerque, NM. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $16.00 - $17.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
